Take me to Africa with you

Jason left for South Africa on wednesday. He will be away for three weeks, doing business and traveling form Johannesburg to Cape Town.
South Africa is a very beautiful country and the landscape would be absolutely different from what we see in other continents. Thinking of the sunset in Durban, I wish I could go wih him. However, I did not even say 'Good afternoon' to Jason that day, and he just disconnected. 'Take me to Africa with you' said Tessa in The Constant Gardener. I wish I have said the same thing to Jason, too. Jason knows I always want to travel with him, and I really do. Hope everything is fine for him in Johannesburg. I hope that he will think of me while traveling.

Reading Allison

For the course of theory of inetrnational politics, I have already bought five books. This week I should figure out what Graham Allison said in his masterpiece Essence of Decision. Although I have learned his three modles in undergraduate studies, I have read the English one. It's very tough for me since I ain't native English speaker. I was depressed for my turtle-like reading speed while I learned that I have another five readings for another subject.

The more I thought about the necessary readings for my studies, the more I am lost and upset. Overwhlemed by the readings, I should still fight for that. I told several freinds that I was upset about my readings. And thanks to Amir, I learned a quicker way to finish my homework. He said that I could read only the introduction and then the conclusion. For the gap, just read an abstract. He said that no American can really read that much.

I am a fighter: A fighter will try to have A in aid of efficient learning. Add oil lo!!

I have thought about Jason since I tool the plane to Washington DC on 19th August. Tic-tac-tic, the time passes. I have been here for almost three weeks wothout Jason. My life here goes smoothly, but there is something missing. Somehow I know it is because of Jason. He took a piece of my soul away when he said goodbye to me in the airport.  Posted by Picasa

We went to hike in Virginia last Saturday. The hiking route is called Little Devil's Staircase. We had a picnic after reaching the peak.  Posted by Picasa

DC survivor

I went to the GW bookstore today, getting my textbook in a hurry. I should finish reading the one third of Essence of Decision by Friday. Hence, I grapped the book and payed. Along with the book, I also baught two other books. It costed me almost 180 $. A fortune...sure, I will read then trough and through in order to maximise their utility. Not until today did I realise that USA is really for the rich. The rich can buy anuthing and have a good education. However, people with no means cannot afford such a luxury like going to graduate school. I am poor, only pennies in my pocket right now, but I am rich in another way, with my knowledge and love.
